Quality assurance is an essential part of any business activity at SZI. We perform quality assurance by employing various technical methods and measures, conducting formal technical reviews, and performing well-planned software testing. SZI GSheds
SZI GSheds is an online shopping cart facility, designed for the Garden Shed industry, mainly for business operations between a retailer and a wholesaler and/or manufacturer. Features included;
- The ability to produce customized brochures with great flexibility in regards to different mark-ups.
- A simple and robust backend database for easy customisations of products and descriptions.
- A user management facility.
- Shopping Cart facility.
- User friendly product selection method.
- Ability to place orders directly with suppliers.
SZI Project Manager
SZI Project Manager is a simple online project management and collaboration system. SZI Project Manager supported the following features;
- User management interface.
- Allowed project managers to assign tasks with flexible descriptions, priority and/or due date nominations, all tasks attached to a specific project.
- A Project management interface, with detailed project goals short term, mid term and long term. Also with the ability to nominate project managers for each project.
- Task authorisation interface. When a task is allocated by anybody other than the project manager, the project manager for the particular project is informed of the request and then given the opportunity to alter, authorise or dismiss the proposed task for his subordinate working on his project.
- Task completion authorisation. When a task is flagged completed by a person, the project manager is informed and given the opportunity to verify that the task has been completed to his/her satisfaction.
- A report of all pending tasks either displayed for a particular project or a particular person.
- A report of all completed tasks either displayed for a particular project or a particular person.
- An integrated messaging system with email support.
MultiPort
A system developed using Visual Basic 6 and MSDE + Microsoft Access as its database. This system perfumed the following tasks;
- Produced accurate bills of materials.
- Produced professional and customizable quotes.
- Provided council plans, for building approval.
- Provided a specification sheet for engineering and building approval purposes.
- Allowed the user to main a customers details database to follow up on quotes.
- Allowed the user to order all parts for any particular carport.
- Allowed the user to make adjustments to bill or materials to suite there customers needs.
QuoteZone
Developed in Visual Basic 6 and MSDE + Microsoft Access as its database. QuoteZone allowed users to quote and order “Kit Homes”, with different options for roof, cladding, windows etc. The Software also provided Council Plans for each house, generated by AutoCAD and SoftPlan. QuoteZone allowed the user to add in extra items sourced from anywhere to be added into jobs easily, it allowed users to enter delivery fees and place orders directly with suppliers via email.
Order Grabber
Using Sun Microsystems Java SDK 1.4. Order Grabber was developed to allow orders that were emailed customers, to be converted and inserted directly into the order processing and accounting system or our customer. Order Grabber ran on the users system and when the user invoked it went and checked a specified pop account, if there was mail there and messages were valid orders, then it converted the orders into a format readable by the clients order processing and accounting system. With the deployment of Order Grabber our client was able improve efficiency in there order processing, as before each order had to be typed in manually and the caused a lot of typing errors. Order Grabber eliminated all that.
MultiLicence
An ActiveX Component that can automate the licence renewal process for any piece of software. At the front end the end user would enter their username and password and would instantly receive a licence renewal via the internet. At the backend Office staff can limit the number of licences a person can have and also can set the time limit for which each licences is valid for. MultiLicence also prevented the end user to install software on multiple systems without purchasing a license for the additional systems, as each license is machine specific.
